The system provides state- and county-level data for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and US territories and possessions. Data are available by gender, race and ethnicity and come from a variety of national and state sources. The system is organized into eleven main categories, including demographics, mortality, natality, reproductive health, violence, prevention, disease and mental health. Within each main category, there are numerous subcategories.

What's New, May 2008
The Women's Health and Mortality Chartbook is now available. The Chartbook presents 27 health indicators, which highlight some of the key issues related to women's health that are being measured regularly at the state level. The Chartbook is a statistical resource on women's health in each of the states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico and was developed to provide readers with an easy-to-use collection of current state data on critical issues of relevance to women.
New Data Have Been Added! Detailed Mortality and Reprductive/Maternal Health data have been added for 2004. In addition, disease data on HIV/AIDS, STDs, Tuberculosis and Hepatitis for 2005 have been added to the system. 2006 Prevention and Chronic Disease data are now available as well.
What's New, April 2008
The Health Disparities Profiles are now available. These profiles examine key health indicators for different racial and ethnic populations in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Twenty one health indicators are presented, highlighting key areas related to health disparities among different populations.
What's New, January 2008
Quick Health Data Online has added data. New this month are 2003 cancer morbidity data, 2005 female incarceration counts and rates, and 2005 children's immunizations rates. In addition, data on breastfeeding are now available by birth year from 2000 through 2004.
What's New, October 2007
New Data Have Been Added! State disease data for 2004 have recently been added to the system. This includes data on HIV/AIDS, STDs, Tuberculosis, and Hepatitis. In addition, we have added 2005 demographic data including population counts and percentages by age, race and gender.
