NOTICE REGARDING SPECIAL DUTY PROVISIONSThe U.S. Census Bureau identified a processing error that caused the wrong rate provision and country subcode indicators to be assigned to goods under the following special trade programs: Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act (CBTPA), and Andean Trade Promotion Drug Eradication Act (ATPDEA). As a result, the dutiable value and calculated duty for countries included in these special programs was incorrect in the January 2005 import statistics. The link below provides corrections at a summary level for January 2005 statistics. With the release of the May 2005 statistics on July 13, 2005, the cumulative statistics have been updated to reflect these changes. For information, please contact the U.S. Census Bureau, Foreign Trade Division at: (301) 763-2311 or e-mail Vanessa Ware at vanessa.ware@census.gov. January 2005 Special Duty Provision Corrections
