|
Slide 9. Reported TB Cases by Race/Ethnicity,
United States, 2005. In 2005, 82% of all reported TB cases occurred
in racial and ethnic minorities (29% in Hispanics, 28% in non-Hispanic
blacks or African-Americans, 23% in Asians, 1% in American Indians
or Alaska Natives, and <1% in Native Hawaiians or Other Pacific
Islanders), whereas 18% of cases occurred in non-Hispanic whites.
Persons reporting two or more races totaled less than 1% of all
cases. This is the second year that Hispanics have constituted the
single largest percentage of TB cases among all racial/ethnic groups. |
