The North American Bird Monitoring Projects Database is a website dedicated to bird monitoring in North America. It contains information about several hundreds bird monitoring projects from Mexico, the United States and Canada.

The purpose of the website is to provide easy access to descriptions of all major bird monitoring projects in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The information will be used in designing new continental project to insure that existing efforts are used to the maximum extent feasible and in determining where gaps in coverage exist. The program descriptions and contact information will also be useful to those designing local and regional projects by indicating which methods are used most often and facilitating communication. The web site is only as good as the contributors make it, however, so please provide information about your program.

How to contribute. If you wish to submit a new project to the database, you must first ensure that you have a login name and password (registration is free). Once you are logged in, you will be able to submit a new project. Please note that new submissions will only be displayed once they have been approved by an administrator of this web site. Currently, only administrators can make changes or additions to an record (project or institution) that is already in the database.
