| The National Weather Service (NWS) in Little Rock went to a new Content Management System (CMS) on May 7, 2009. The CMS is a necessity to help websites run more reliably. Without the CMS, there is no backup should the regional web server fail. The CMS allows sites to be mirrored on servers located in other regions. If one server goes down, the others can take over and keep sites running. That's the good news!
With any big change, there will likely be some adjustments and hiccups. The biggest adjustment will be address changes. Many addresses before the CMS were like the following...

A file has been created to hopefully take those who bookmarked the old pages and scripts to the new ones. There are a lot of dated pages and seldom viewed pages that will no longer exist. In this case, you will be forwarded to the main page.
