Export Compliance Seminar - February 20, 2008 (Portland, OR)
**********************************************************************
Mr. Jerome (Jerry) Greenwell, Trade Ombudsman for the Foreign Trade
Division, U.S. Department of Commerce will be leading an all day seminar
focused on new export controls, AES regulation updates, enforcement
trends and best practices for both freight forwarders and exporters alike.
Jerry will be joined by George R. Tuttle, III, a trade attorney focused
on Customs and Export Control matters for the past 20 years. He has a
wide variety of experience involving diverse compliance issues, as well
as Focused Assessments and other agency interactions.
The export environment has dramatically changed and we have new Export
Control Laws with increased penalty provisions, as well as increased
scrutiny of Exports by CBP and Census. Come learn about this new
environment and the regulation and security issues that everyone engaged
in Exports must understand to remain compliant, aware and out of trouble.
