- What is a license exception?
A license exception is an authorization that allows you to export or
reexport under stated conditions, items subject to the Export Administration
Regulations (EAR) that would otherwise require a license.
Name Change: BIS License Exemption Code C39 to C53
Effective, April 24, 2006, C39 Computers CTP (Composite Theoretical Performance) has been renamed in AES as C53 APP (Adjusted Peak Performance).
***AES will not accept any new shipments using License Code C39. Corrections, replacements, and deletion of previously accepted shipments will be allowed.
