The Office of Economic Policy Analysis & Public Diplomacy works to develop and promote sound economic policies by analyzing the effectiveness of current U.S. policies, engaging the private sector in policy planning and development, and by evaluating economic and foreign policy implications of emerging, cross-cutting issues. EPPD supports and promotes U.S economic policies through public diplomacy and public affairs efforts including sustained outreach to media, other government entities, non-governmental organizations, business and civic groups, and educational institutions; and by promoting effective cooperation with Members of Congress and their staff regarding international economic issues. EPPD provides policy support for the U.S. Mission to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the OECD-based Partnership for Democratic Governance (PDG). EPPD also manages the Secretary’s Award for Corporate Excellence (ACE) and serves as Executive Secretariat for the Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy (ACIEP).
