ND PRA THRO 10(4) NORTH UNIT SLIDE REPAIR
Last Revised: 4-28-2009

The Central Federal Lands Highway Division of the Federal Highway Administration in cooperation with the National Park Service is proposing to reconstruct three sections of the North Unit Scenic Drive in the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. This route is the main access road for the North Unit and lies entirely within the boundaries of the Park. The route begins at the intersection with U.S. Highway 85, approximately 15 miles south of Watford City, ND and ends at the Oxbow Overlook. The reconstruction sections are located in Cedar Canyon and near the River Bend Overlook. Reconstruction would involve installation of deep drainage to correct subgrade mositure problems and provide for long term stability of the roadway.
