Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz will host an honor cordon at the Pentagon today at 2:30 p.m. to welcome Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Irakli Menagharishvili. See the press advisory for details.

Gen. Henry H. Shelton, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is visiting counterparts in Brazil, Argentina and Chile through March 22. See press advisory for details.

The DoD Mentor Protg Conference continues today in Arlington, Va. The theme is "Mentor-Protg Partnerships at Work for Our Nations Defense." See the conference Web site for details. [link no longer available]

The court of inquiry appointed to investigate the collision between USS Greeneville (SSN 772) and the Ehime Maru continues at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. See the Pacific Fleet Web page for details (page no longer available).
