Interview with Maryland Democratic Party Chair Susan Turnbull

Ms. Susan Turnbull is currently
the Chair of Maryland Democratic Party and the Former Vice Chair of Democratic
National Committee.
In an interview with
Bangla Service's Shegoftah Nasreen Queen, Ms. Turnbull commented on President
Barack Obama's first 100 days in office.
She said the major
accomplishments were the progress that was made nationally and internationally
– passage of largest recovery and reinvestment ACT and the restoration of
American standing abroad.
She spoke about
President Obama building a great foundation in Congress, moving forward with a
clear vision of the international world, working with women's issues including
Lilly Ledbetter ACT and global gag rule. She also spoke about Republicans not
answering President Obama's call for bipartisanship.
