Labor Organizations in Bangladesh observed Labor Day in Dhaka and other places.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged the industrialists to treat workers more humanely and meet their fundamental needs. 

The Prime Minister also announced that the government would extend the retirement age of factory workers.
