Dr. Dorothy Height shares her thoughts about the election of the first African American President-- Barak Obama. Local Fox affiliate, Fox 5 DC, met with Dr. Height at NCNW Headquarters to talk about this historic moment and reflect on the advancements since the Civil Rights Movement.

NCNW Lauches New Online Shopping Boutique
NCNW announces the launch of “Shop NCNW.” This online boutique offers a variety of NCNW logo themed items, as well as contemporary Afrocentric gifts. This initiative is developed in partnership with Sandy USA, Inc., a leading supplier of African American focused gift products. more
NCNW & General Mills Celebrate Service Champions
NCNW, in partnership with General Mills, announces the launch of Feeding Dreams—a new, community-based program intended to recognize those individuals who give back to their communities by providing outstanding service to others. more

Dorothy I. Height and Whitney M. Young, Jr., Social Work Reinvestment Act
Dr. Dorothy I. Height has joined with U.S. Congressman Edolphus Towns (D-NY) in support of the Dorothy I. Height and Whitney M. Young, Jr. Social Work Reinvestment Act. The act, titled H.R. 5447, is designed to help the nation's 600,000 social workers better serve families and communities in need. more
