What services does this resource provide?
The Leprosy Research Support program provides two services for researchers:
A repository to provide standardized, quality controlled
Mycobacterium leprae
research reagents
(non-Government link), including whole cells, cell fractions, nucleic acids, and post-genomic reagents.
The maintenance of an armadillo colony for the propagation of leprosy bacilli
Where are services provided?
Colorado State University
(non-Government link), Fort Collins, provides and distributes reagents.
The
National Hansen’s Disease Laboratories
maintains an armadillo colony and provides live
M. leprae
derived from mouse foot pads.
