Prepares communities to respond to and recover from mass fatalities incidents.

The National Mass Fatalities Institute

IF DISASTER STRIKES, ARE YOU READY? NOW IS THE TIME TO PLAN!
Any incident resulting in more deaths than can be managed with locally available resources is a mass fatalities event. Successful management of a mass fatalities event requires a comprehensive and integrated plan. Since all disasters BEGIN and END locally, the National Mass Fatalities Institute urges all communities to develop their own mass fatalities incident response plan.

We offer comprehensive and topic-specific training for communities and organizations of all sizes. Allow us to help you develop your plan for responding to and recovering from such an event. The physical and emotional well-being of survivors and responders, proper care of the deceased, protection of the public health, preservation of evidence, and fulfillment of public expectations demand a timely, efficient, and effective mass fatalities incident response.

The National Mass Fatalities Institute will customize instruction to meet your training needs. Our delivery options include:
    • Training at our Mass Fatalities Response Training Center.
    • On-site training at your location.
    • Distance learning through Internet-based training.
Explore our services and call toll-free in the U.S. and Canada at 866-623-6634.

The Institute is located on the Kirkwood Community College campus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
