Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)

The Federal Housing Finance Board's EEO program has two objectives: 1) to provide a full and fair opportunity for all employees and applicants, regardless of non-merit factors such as race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, color, national origin, age, or disability, to pursue a career in the Federal service and advance based upon their performance and abilities; and 2) to enable all employees to carry out their duties in a workplace free from unlawful discriminatory treatment, including sexual harassment and retaliation for engaging in legally protected activities.

Our EEO program includes providing counseling to employees and applicants on EEO matters and processing formal complaints alleging employment discrimination.   Every effort is made to resolve EEO complaints informally.   However, where counseling and mediation are unsuccessful, an employee or applicant may avail himself or herself to the formal complaint process.

The Notification and Federal Employee Antidiscrimination and Retaliation Act of 2002 (No Fear Act) seeks to increase accountability for violations of Federal antidiscrimination and whistleblower protection laws.  Title III of the Act requires that each Federal agency make quarterly postings of statistical data to its public website regarding the disposition of discrimination complaints filed with the agency.
