Traveling to remote parts of Sierra Leone and Guinea, VOA's Bart Childs joins his brother, Linguistics Professor Tucker Childs of Portland State University on two research projects to document three dying languages in this part of the world, Kim, Bom and Mani before they die for good.
The projects are funded by the Hans Rausing Endangered Language Documentation program and the National Science Foundation.
Here, Bart posts periodic Vlogs on his experience as well as the progress and the methodology of the projects and the rich cultures that are associated with these speakers, all in High Definition Video.
