On 11/12/08, Calvin “Naked Mouth” Waters was arrested in Baton Rouge by members
of the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force for Attempted Second Degree Murder,
Second Degree Battery, Aggravated Burglary, and Illegal Use of a Weapon.
In
April of 2008, MLFTF Investigators began searching for Waters based on an April
of 2007 incident when he brutally attacked a female victim causing broken bones.
A second set of warrants were issued for an incident on June 1, 2008, when
Waters broke into a residence and hid in the victim’s bedroom under a bed until
the victim returned home. Once the victim entered the bedroom, Waters threatened
her with a hammer and knife, before attacking her with his fists and leaving her
unconscious. Waters then smashed the windows of her vehicle with a hammer and
fled the scene. A third incident occurred on June 8, 2008, when Baton Rouge
Police Detectives say that Waters shot a man five time in the back, then stood
over him and attempted to shoot him again. The weapon malfunctioned and Waters
again fled the scene. MLFTF Investigators obtained information that Waters was
hiding out in Mississippi, but a tip from Crime Stoppers led them to a residence
in Baton Rouge. MLFTF Investigators responded to the house, located Waters, and
arrested him without incident.
