MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The U.S. Marshals Service concluded a successful, week-long
Operation FALCON – Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally – in the 25th
Judicial Circuit of Western Tennessee June 7th, 2008. Operation FALCON is a
fugitive apprehension operation combining the resources of federal, state,
city and county law enforcement agencies to locate and apprehend criminals
wanted for crimes of violence.
U.S. Marshal David Jolley will host a FALCON press conference Tuesday, June
10 at 11 a.m. at the federal building located at 167 Main St., Room 367 in
Memphis. U.S. Marshal Jolley, joined by various Sheriffs and police, will
provide arrest and seizure totals as well as make an important announcement
about the Mid South Fugitive Task Force.
Local officers from Sheriff’s departments, and police departments in Tipton,
Lauderdale, Hardeman, Fayette, Madison, Chester, Henderson, and Shelby
counties teamed up with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Tennessee Board of
Parole and Probation, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, 25th Judicial
District Task Force Officers, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms agents, and Mid
South Fugitive Task Force Officers to locate and arrest fugitives charged
with felonies in the above listed counties.
