H.R.1230—The Bone Marrow Failure Disease Research and Treatment Act of 2009

On February 26, 2009, Representative Doris Matsui (D-CA) introduced H.R. 1230, the Bone Marrow Failure Disease Research and Treatment Act of 2009. The bill would require the CDC to establish a National Acquired Bone Marrow Failure Disease Registry and the Advisory Committee on Acquired Bone Marrow Failure Diseases. The bill calls for representation from the following NIH entities: NCI, NHLBI, and the Office of Rare Diseases. H.R. 1230 was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
