S. 1082—The Food and Drug Administration Revitalization Act

On April 10, 2007, Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA) introduced S. 1082, the Food and Drug Administration Revitalization Act. A bill to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to reauthorize and amend the prescription drug user fee provisions, and for other purposes. S. 1082 was referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP).

COMMITTEE ACTION

April 18, 2007 - The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) (Senator Edward Kennedy [D-MA], Chairman, reported S. 1082 favorably with an amendment in the nature of a substitute.

FLOOR ACTION

May 9, 2007 - The Senate passed S. 1082.  S. 1082 and H.R. 2900 were the subject of conference agreement between the House and the Senate.  The conference agreement H.R. 3580 was passed by both the House and the Senate and became P.L. 110-85.
