Gardens have been recognized
by many cultures, groups, and religions for their functionality
and overwhelming benefits. They serve as therapeutic jewels to
provide social, emotional, environmental, and cultural outcomes.
Besides personal benefits, one of these outcomes may include
revived community pride and community asset development that
results in increased tourism!

Through the Points of Lights Institute training and a variety
of other programs, the Foundation encourages people from all
walks of life - corporations, faith-based organizations, low-income
communities, families, youth, and older adults - to volunteer.

This conference responds to
urban-rural interface issues and focuses on the importance of
building a working relationship with communities, organizations
and agencies to serve diverse audiences through more balanced
programming efforts. The activities are designed to educate participants
on how to collaborate, build partnerships, and establish coalitions
that enhance programs and services.
