Medical Student/Resident Financial Assistance Program

The Medical Licensure Program for International Medical Graduates (MLPIMG) will assist foreign trained physicians to obtain medical licensure to practise as primary care physicians in Manitoba.

January 23 | Deadline for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba to receive list of site names for postgraduate training verification |
March 31 | Post graduate training confirmed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons. |
May 15-20 | Applicant Interviews |
May 31 | IMGs selected to challenge CAPE |
Mid June | CAPE Preparation Course |
Early September | CAPE (3-day assessment) |
Mid October | CAPE results sent to IMG Program |
End October | IMGs advised of offer to enter the MLPIMG Program |
December 7-21 | Mandatory Orientation |
January 4-13, 2010 | Mandatory Orientation (continued) |
January 14, 2010 | Clinical Training Begins |
