Abstract: Plot data from 1977 Minnesota forest inventory were used to evaluate the productivity of Minnesota's aspen forest. Computer simulation was used to develop equations for evaluating the current and potential productivity of aspen forest stands. The analysis showed that 49% of the state's aspen forest type was producing less than half of potential volume yields.
