Opportunity Description: In the heart of central Virginia, this historic park offers a full array of cultural, environmental, and recreational activities. Overnight accommodations include a campground, group camping and climate-controlled cabins. Enjoy swimming, fishing, boating and lakefront picnicking at Goodwin Lake. Cedar Crest Conference Center (CCCC) on Prince Edward Lake is available for family reunions, business retreats and training meetings. Hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians can take advantage of a neighboring multi-use trail developed with Prince Edward-Gallion State Forest. What better way to explore what Twin Lakes has to offer than to volunteer as a CampHost? You’ll get to meet new people while enjoying the outdoors and putting your skills to work. You will provide high quality customer service to campers and assist with day-to-day operations of the campground. There is no salary compensation; the CampHost Program is a volunteer service program. However, depending upon the length of your service, you will receive free camping and/or cabin use in the off season as our way of saying thanks. The Twin Lakes CampHost site will accommodate an RV up to 50 feet, and offers water and electric hookups. Positions range from 30 to 90 days.
