NACD's mission is to serve conservation districts by providing national leadership and a unified voice for natural resource conservation.

NWTF Outstanding Conservation District Partner

The 2009 Outstanding Conservation District Partner Award is the second annual award presented by the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF). The award seeks to recognize conservation districts or individuals who have successfully partnered with local NWTF chapter or staff to benefit wildlife.

Purpose of Award:  To recognize an Outstanding Conservation District Partner that has joined with an NWTF local chapter(s) or staff to raise public awareness of conservation and wildlife management issues, improve wildlife habitat, and increase hunting opportunities.

Selection Process:  NWTF staff and partners will provide nominations for consideration.  Nominations can be a district as a group at the state, regional or county level or an individual that represents a district at the state, regional or county level.

Selection Deadline:  October 15, 2008

Presentation:  Award will be presented at the National Association of Conservation Districts annual meeting in February.
