National Association of Conservation Districts

NACD's mission is to serve conservation districts by providing national leadership and a unified voice for natural resource conservation.

Committees

NACD’s Foundation Committees are comprised of NACD Board Members and direct association activity in priority areas. The five Foundation Committees, chairs and staff advisors are as follows:

Membership of each committee consists of approximately ten NACD board members, with each state and territory serving on one committee. Committee chairs and members serve two-year terms in conjunction with the NACD President.

Each committee may establish subcommittees and task forces to assist with special projects or issues. The Natural Resources Policy Committee may also set up Resource Policy Groups (RPGs) to tackle special interest issues. Membership of subcommittees, task forces and RPGs is at the discretion and appointment of each committee chair.
Existing Resource Policy Groups under the Natural Resources Policy Committee include 1) Urban and Community, 2) Forestry, 3) Coastal and 4) Great Lakes.
