The Goldendoodle is a mixed-breed dog or "designer breed," a crossbred between a Golden retriever and a poodle, and also 10-year-old Malia Obama's first choice for the White House pet. Public opinion, however, is already at odds with the first family. In a recent American Kennel Club poll, voters said they would like the Obamas to adopt a purebred poodle.
