Took 2 hrs, 30 min to wipe iPhone content and settings + restore them manually. This work did not fix Wi-Fi. Got a bum phone. Must replace. |
@punkassjim If the hour of manual scrape and restore doesn't fix, taking it to the store will be the next and final step. |
@jason_stanbery Right. That doesn't work. None of the things that are supposed to work work. So next steps are scrape all data and settings. |
@nevenmrgan What often fixes ailing iPhones is "Erase All Content and Settings," then refusing to Restore From Backup. Then restore by hand. |
Currently it doesn't even recognize that Wi-Fi networks are present. After an hour of fiddling, it will see the networks but not connect. |

"Reset all Settings" also does not fix. Will have to "Erase All Content and Settings" to restore basic functionality to iPhone. Hate that. |
iPhone no longer able to join Wi-Fi networks though password is typed correctly. Rebooting does not fix, nor does resetting Network prefs. |
