Two California State University, Long Beach students received awards for outstanding posters and a third student received an award for outstanding oral presentation at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) in Florida recently.

Women's Volleyball Coach Brian Gimmillaro has been inducted into the American Volleyball Coaches Assocation Hall of Fame. During his 24-year tenure at Long Beach State, the 49ers have won 3 national championships, and qualified for the NCAA Tournament 22 straight seasons, one of only four university programs in the country to do so.
