NOTICE OF CORRECTION - GUIDELINES FOR APPLICATIONS INVOLVING CLINICAL RESEARCH WITH YEARLY DIRECT COSTS OVER $1,000,000 (NOT-NS-01-012) RELEASE DATE: September 24, 2003 NOTICE: NOT-NS-03-025 National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) (http://www.ninds.nih.gov/) PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE: This notice is intended to correct and clarify the guidelines to investigators for programmatic acceptance of unsolicited clinical research grant applications requesting direct costs of $1,000,000 or more in any year by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-NS-01-012.html) These guidelines apply to unsolicited grant applications (e.g., R01, U01) and applications submitted in response to NINDS Program Announcements. They do not apply to unsolicited program projects or research center grants (e.g., P01, P50). It is the policy of NINDS that Program Project and Research Center grants may not exceed $1,000,000 direct costs in any year (http://www.ninds.nih.gov/funding/ppg_guidelines.htm).
