SEER - Introducing SEER's New Look
On September 3, SEER not only updated the look and feel of the site, but also made several changes in order to improve the user experience based on user evaluation and research.
One of the features in SEER’s new look is a new navigation structure that allows users to move through the Web site with greater ease, while still providing the same information rich content. The primary means of navigating the site is through the series of tabs at the top of the page, but each tabbed section also has its own secondary navigation on the left that remains consistent throughout that section. The site retains all of its URLs, so all links and bookmarks to the SEER Web site are unaffected by the change.

Home Page
The new home page first gives users an introduction to the SEER Program and provides easy access to the Web site’s content with its simplified navigation structure. This page also helps users keep up to date with the program’s latest news, software, and job opportunities.
SEER Program Overview Page
This section gives more in-depth information about the SEER Program including the participating cancer registries, informs visitors about SEER’s landmark studies, and describes the SEER’s commitment to quality improvement and collaboration.
Cancer Statistics Tab
This section gives an overview of the various types of available cancer statistics and supplies a number of web-based systems that provide access to statistical tables, graphs, and maps from various data sources.
Accessing Datasets & Tools Tab
This section details how to access SEER’s cancer incidence database and other associated datasets. Also find a list of available statistical software for analyzing and reporting cancer statistics, and information about the variables related to using the datasets.
Publications Tab
This section gives users access to a variety of publications produced by the SEER program or through collaborative efforts between SEER and other organizations including statistical reports and monographs.
Information for Cancer Registrars Tab
This section, meant specifically for use by Cancer Registrars, outlines data submission requirements and reporting and coding guidelines. It also provides a list of available software and services, as well as a directory of educational and training resources.
