NSBA Releases Year-End Economic Report and NFIB Releases Small Business Economic Trends Report
The economic outlook in both the NSBA and NFIB reports is not promising. Newly available statistics reveal a lack of confidence and small business employment. The Small Business Committee will look at the challenges small business are facing in an open meeting Wednesday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. in room 2360 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

With Chabot's pull, locals gained ear on Capitol Hill

With Steve Chabot voted out of Congress, ousted by Democratic challenger Steve Driehaus, leaders of Cincinnati small businesses likely have lost a relatively rare opportunity to make their views known on Capitol Hill.
A seven-term Republican, Chabot has been the ranking minority member on the House Committee on Small Business since January 2007, where he has made a regular practice of inviting local business leaders to testify.
