The traffic data on Montana’s Rural Traffic Flow maps is an average annual daily traffic (AADT) which is weighted based on established major traffic breaks. The Rural Traffic Flow map is intended to give users a general idea of the traffic flow in the rural areas. The traffic volumes are represented using color bands with the weighted AADT for each segment reported directly above the roadway segment and the total truck traffic shown directly underneath the roadway segment. Note: Do not add the traffic volumes together. The traffic volume on the top of the roadway is the total traffic volume. 2007 Rural Traffic Flow Map 2006 Rural Traffic Flow Map 2005 Rural Traffic Flow Map Traffic Counts Additional traffic requests can be or by calling 406.444.6121 | 800.335.7592 (TTY).
