Grassley: $89,435 to Iowa from U.S. Department of Justice

WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs has awarded an $89,435 grant to the Four Oaks Family Children’s Services in Cedar Rapids.

“The funds will help keep students out of trouble and help those that are already in the juvenile justice system,” Grassley said.

The funds will help provide an after-school program for up to 40 youth in grades 7-12 from Benton and Iowa Counties. The program will help the students resist delinquent behavior and to grow to become successful adults. The students will be referred to the program from schools, Juvenile Courts Service, community agencies, health and mental health providers, law enforcement and parents.
