COLUMBIA, Mo – UIS had three players in double figures and the Prairie Stars used that balance to post their first American Midwest Conference victory of the season, beating Stephens College, 59-55, on Thursday. UIS improves to 3-12 overall and 1-2 in AMC play while Stephens 7-4, 0-2. Erin Glogovsky led the Prairie Star attack with 18 points while Alex Blair added 12 (on four three-point field goals) and Jeanell Randolph added 10 for the victors. Glovosky also grabbed a team-high four rebounds. UIS controlled the game from start to finish, posting a 27-23 lead at halftime and cruised home with the win. Head coach Roy Gilmore’s squad will return home to host Columbia College on Saturday at TRAC. Game time is 2 p.m.
