on behalf of the Swift-BAT team:

At 04:13:00 UT on May 24, 2008, BAT triggered on GRB 080524. The onboard
processing found a source that was not significant enough to initiate a
burst response. Routine processing on the ground of failed triggers found
a significant source (9.7 sigma) at RA, Dec 268.449, +80.143 which is:

RA 17h 53m 47.7s (J2000)
Dec 80d 8m 35s (J2000)

with an uncertainty radius of 2.5 arcmin (90% containment). The source
was 58% coded.

shows activity from the trigger time to the end of available data

L. Vetere (PSU) report on behalf of the Swift Team:

At 17:34:33 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and
located GRB 080212 (trigger=303105). Swift slewed immediately to the burst.
The BAT on-board calculated location is
RA, Dec 231.107, -22.752 which is
   RA(J2000) = 15h 24m 26s
   Dec(J2000) = -22d 45' 06"
with an uncertainty of 3 arcmin (radius, 90% containment, including
systematic uncertainty). The BAT light curve showed a single peak
with a duration of about 20 sec. The peak count rate was ~1000
counts/sec (15-350 keV), at ~0 sec after the trigger. There may be a
precursor at T-60 sec.

G. Stratta (ASDC) report on behalf of the Swift Team:

At 06:06:45 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and
located a possible GRB 080129 (trigger=301981). The BAT on-board calculated
location is RA, Dec 105.280, -7.827 which is
   RA(J2000) = 07h 01m 07s
   Dec(J2000) = -07d 49' 35"
with an uncertainty of 3 arcmin (radius, 90% containment, including
systematic uncertainty). The BAT light curve for this event appears
to show a duration of about 80 sec with a peak of ~600 counts/sec
(15-350 keV), at ~30 sec after the trigger although, as is usual
for image triggers, the TDRSS light curve is noisy.
The location of the source, 1.4 degrees from the Galactic plane
raises the possibility that this is a Galactic transient.
Further analysis will require the downlinked data from Malindi.

SUBJECT: GRB 080121: Swift-BAT detection of a very weak, short burst
DATE: 08/01/23 20:39:09 GMT
FROM: Jay R. Cummings at NASA/GSFC/Swift

J. R. Cummings and D. M. Palmer for the Swift-BAT team

At 21:29:55 on Jan 21, 2008, BAT detected a weak short GRB
(trigger #301491) at a ground-calculated location
RA, Dec 137.235, +41.841, error radius 3 arcmin (90% confidence),
which is:
RA(J2000) = 09h 08m 56s
Dec(J2000) = +41d 50' 29"

The significance of the source in the detection image was just
below the alert threshold, so Swift did not slew immediately to
the burst. In addition, the source location was in Moon constraint,
so no late observation was made.
