Y-12 National Security Complex a DOE-VPP Star Site
The Y-12 National Security Complex, managed and operated by Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Y-12, LLC, in Oak Ridge, Tenn., has earned U.S. Department of Energy Voluntary Protection Plan Star status, a significant safety and health validation. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (TN-3) joined Y-12 employees at a flag-raising ceremony to mark the achievement.

A Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Energy, Inc. (B&W NE) customer using our inspection services has been awarded a prestigious Nuclear Energy Institute Top Industry Practice award. The system improved safety, cut costs, reduced outage time and demonstrated a first-time application of additional inspection technology. B&W NE used smaller, lighter equipment to support the inspection.
