Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen works with South Florida
Delegation to obtain critical funds for Miami Dade County
 

(Washington, DC) -- The Transportation Treasury HUD Judiciary D.C. Appropriations bill for fiscal year 2006 was approved by the House by a margin of 392 to 31. Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen was joined by Representatives Lincoln Diaz-Balart, Mario Diaz-Balart, and Kendrick Meek in a bipartisan manner to obtain funding for key transportation projects for the citizens of South Florida.

The bill funds key priority programs that will greatly benefit the people of South Florida and will improve our transportation and infrastructure system.

Miami Dade County Metrorail Extension - $10,000,000
City of Miami Streetcar - $2,000,000
Miami-Dade bus fleet expansion - $1,922,800
Miami-Dade transit security - $547,917
Miami-Dade Regional Fare system - $384,460
NW 7th Avenue Hub - $805,840
Dadeland South Intermodal Center - $460,000
City of Miami Elderly Assistance Program - $250,000
Miami Dade College - $250,000
