Flagler Elementary School in recognition of the READ ACROSS AMERICA literacy campaign. The Congresswoman will be reading her favorite children’s book, Old Yeller, to the gathered students.

Ros-Lehtinen will be reading “Old Yeller” as this was the book she used during her years at Southside Elementary to learn English.

WHEN:      Monday, March 3, 2008 between 9:30 to 10:00 A.M.

Said Ros-Lehtinen, “I am so pleased to read Old Yeller to the students at Henry M. Flagler Elementary because this book has a very special meaning for me as I learned English reading Old Yeller. Reading is an important educational tool and I encourage every young child to pick up a book, read it and let the contents of the material educate them and expand their knowledge.”
