The National Tropical Botanical Gardens in Washington, DC recently held a reception that highlighted the beautiful Kampong Garden of Coconut Grove, which is known for its unique beauty and rich history.

Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who represents this South Florida landmark, spoke about how significant this treasure is for the whole nation and how South Floridians treasure their unique ecosystem. She also spoke of the importance of Kampong Gardens and its founder, Dr. David Fairchild to the community she represents in Congress.
