Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen met in Washington, DC with South Dade student Bryan Montoya, who was visiting our nation's capitol as part of the Junior State of America organization (JSA). JSA is a student run organization so the students who run a particular chapter develop their leadership skills through trial and error. Its members also gain valuable public speaking and critical thinking through chapter debates, talks and other activities. Ros-Lehtinen and Bryan discussed the role of the House of Representatives in crafting legislation and of his future career plans.
