The National Institute on Early Childhood Development and Education (ECI) recognizes that the World Wide Web is an important medium for communication with diverse audiences interested in the topic of early childhood education. The U.S. Department of Education encourages its employees to explore and experiment with innovative ways of using the World Wide Web to further the mission of the Department through improved communication. While ECI is responsible for the content of its World Wide Web pages, the information provided on these pages does not necessarily reflect the views of the U.S. Department of Education or the National Institute on Early Childhood Development and Education.
The ECI Web team will review all requests for linking to the ECI web site. Web sites will be included based on whether the site is relevant to ECI's mission. Specifically, the web team will consider whether the site could be considered a resource for early childhood education and if it addresses the mission and the goals of ECI. The priorities for selection will include quality, content and relevance, rather than quantity and design.
