Vermont Yankee
The Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant is located near Brattleboro,
Vermont. Its operating license was issued in February 1973, and it expires
in March
2012. In September 2003, Entergy Nuclear Operations, the plant owner,
submitted an application to the NRC to increase the maximum power level
by 20 percent. Since that time, the NRC has received many questions and
concerns about the process for evaluating this request. This Web page
provides
information
to the public on many of the issues that have been raised. In addition,
it provides information on other issues of concern at Vermont Yankee.
