Department of Energy Management Awards
The Department of Energy (DOE) Management Awards were established in 1979 by DOE's In-House Energy Management Program, which is currently a part of the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) under the Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The program recognizes staff for their outstanding contributions toward energy and dollar savings at DOE facilities and field organizations.
The 2008 DOE Management Awards recognized exemplary DOE programs, facilities, and individuals who promoted the goals of the Secretary's Transformational Energy Action Management (TEAM) Initiative and showed superior leadership in effective, efficient energy management.

Event Information
The DOE Management Awards ceremony was held on October 22, 2008 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. Acting Assistant Secretary John Mizroch was the keynote speaker and presented awards with FEMP Program Manager Richard Kidd. Please check back in February 2009 for more information on the 2009 events.
