Energy
America is too dependent on foreign oil. This addiction is threatening both our national and economic security. In order to become energy independent, we must conserve the resources we have and support research and development efforts into clean alternative fuels. Our community is home to abundant sources of renewable energy – from wind to solar to geothermal. I am proud that our community is a vital and growing part of a clean energy solution. However, we must take this challenge straight to the automobiles we drive. America is a country of innovation. If we can put a man on the moon, surely we can develop more efficient, cleaner running cars. With a strong private and public partnership, we must forge ahead to produce more renewable energy and wean ourselves off of foreign oil.
