The recently updated Water Resources
Management Strategy provides for a continuation of the policies, projects and recommendations in the original
strategy adopted in 1997. The strategy provides policies and recommendations for continuation of the need to shift from sole reliance on the aquifer to renewable supplies including the San
Juan-Chama Drinking Water Project. The strategy, a key component of which is conservation, is designed to ensure Water Authority customers a safe and sustainable water supply through the year 2060 and beyond.
