water reuse facility

Water Reuse Facility.

The Water Authority is embarking on two major water recycling projects. One will reuse reclaimed water from the Southside Water Reclamation Plant (SWRP) for irrigating parks and other turf areas. A separate recycled water system in the North I-25 area will capture industrial wastewater, treat it, and deliver it for industrial use and turf area irrigation.

In addition, almost all of the water that enters the Southside Water Reclamation Plant is cleaned, disinfected, and put into the Rio Grande to supplement river flow and be available for use downstream.
