Brad
Valladon moved to Nevada from
California in his junior year in
high school. He graduated from
Carson High School and received his
AA degree in Criminal Justice at
WNCC. He began his law enforcement
career as a reserve deputy with
Carson City Sheriff's Department.
Prior to starting with Capitol
Police, he worked for Carson City
Sheriff's Department, Humboldt
County Sheriff's Department, and
Winnemucca Police Department. He
started with Nevada Capitol Police
in July, 1988 as an officer. In
April, 1992, he was promoted to
Sergeant. In November 2001, he
assumed the duties of Chief.
During his law enforcement career he
has served as a Mounted Patrol
Officer, Sheriff's Posse commander,
Motorcycle officer, SCUBA/Swift
Water Rescue Team, Deputy Coroner
and an instructor in several law
enforcement training courses.
