TO: STATE AGENCIES ADMINISTERING CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT PLANS UNDER TITLE IV-D OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY ACT AND OTHER INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS
SUBJECT: Continuation of the Annual State Self-Assessment Review and Report
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has granted The Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) an extension for collecting the information contained in the annual State Self-Assessment Review and Report (OMB Control No. 0970-0223). This extension covers the period through March 31, 2007.
The requirements of the original self-assessment regulation did not change.
The Final Rule on Self-Assessment was published in the Federal Register December 12, 2000 (65 FR 239) and issued under Action Transmittal OCSE-AT-00-09.
45 CFR § 308.1(e) requires states to submit the results of their annual self-assessment review to the appropriate Regional Office and to the Commissioner of OCSE. Responsibility for self-assessment has been moved within OCSE to the Division of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (DPRE).
